Artist from Cuba - Marlene Baquero

Marlene Baquero Martinez is a Cuban artist who came to the United States in 2013 as political refugee, and is currently a resident. She is a member of CHA (Coalition of Hispanic Artists) and Group N3.

In Cuba she participated in multiple exhibitions in the Casa de Artistas Creadores in Havana, Cuba. Likewise, in the collective exhibition for the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, in the Centro Provincial de Artes Plásticas y Diseño.

In the United States, she has participated in the city of Tampa in various exhibitions, such as in the John F Germany Public Library, Truist Bank (BB&T), A.P. Leto High School, and in Don Vicente's home in Ybor City. She was also interviewed by Auria Rodriguez in the program Mi Gente Tampa Bay.
