Artist from Haiti - Eddy Azor
Eddy Azor was born in Port-au-Prince in1965. His mother was a cook and his father a shoemaker. He started to paint at 17, while still in high school. After graduating he studied electrical engineering and worked for 2 years. He continued to paint as a hobby. He had a friend who taught him different painting techniques and offered advice about the use of color. He never had any formal art training and considers himself to be a self-taught artist. read more
Eddy Azor has never participated in any exhibition outside Haiti, but his works are permanently exhibited in Petion-ville's most prestigious art galleries, and are very popular with art collectors.
Paintings marked "framed" are framed using simple gold frames unless marked otherwise. Frames shown are representative, not the exact frame. The price of the painting includes the frame. Paintings marked "unframed" will be shipped rolled.
