Artist from Cuba - Isidoro Tejeda
From a very young age Tejeda excelled in the plastic arts. He studied in the school of Design of the Ministry of Culture in Cuba. He took classes in drawing, painting, procedures, graphical and textile design, art history and sculpture. He arrived in the United States in 1992. Settling in Miami he worked for several advertising agencies, applying the knowledge of painting to works of designs, control of quality of color, design of feminine footwear, floral design and crafts. He is a versatile artist that works in different techniques and media (oil, acrylics and watercolors). His works also include that of ornamental sculptures in bamboo and wood. One of his favorite subjects is the realism and the figurative themes from Cuban life. Tejeda combines the styles of impressionism, expressionism, and aspects of abstract art combining realism with fantasy emphasizing tropical colors; symbolism, movement to humans, animals, flowers still life and landscape expression.
His paintings reside in personal collections throughout Spain, Mexico, Germany and the Unites States.
