In the '80s, Patricia studied engraving at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and architecture in a private school. Her first job was as a Set designer at the Rede Globo, a television network in Brazil, reproducing paintings and scenery panels giants. read more
With her professional career going strong she has been feeding the desire to paint the multiethnic reality that she sees. Since 2004 she has been developing a series of portraits entitled "Natural Ethnography of the People of Rio de Janeiro."Natural Ethnography of the People of Rio de Janeiro
A sensitive and contemporary story of the people of Rio, their occupations, their routine and their postures. The contrasting colors are a constant - blue, green, yellow and red - and don't define the ethnicity of its characters. The result is a feeling of joy, painting in a primitive art style brings the artist a feeling of closeness with the cultures that she is portraying.
Paintings marked "framed" are framed using simple gold frames unless marked otherwise. Frames shown are representative, not the exact frame. The price of the painting includes the frame. Paintings marked "unframed" will be shipped rolled.
