Artist from Brazil - Patricia Brasil

In the 90's she migrated to graphic arts, working as a designer of a women's magazine, editorial designer and illustrator of domestic and foreign securities and finally, director of art in advertising.

With her professional career going strong she has been feeding the desire to paint the multiethnic reality that she sees. Since 2004 she has been developing a series of portraits entitled "Natural Ethnography of the People of Rio de Janeiro."

A sensitive and contemporary story of the people of Rio, their occupations, their routine and their postures. The contrasting colors are a constant - blue, green, yellow and red - and don't define the ethnicity of its characters. The result is a feeling of joy, painting in a primitive art style brings the artist a feeling of closeness with the cultures that she is portraying.
