This painting depicts the aftermath of the Earthquake in Haiti on 1/12/10. Zephirin sees Haiti as having been crucified. He places a fish skeleton in the center of the cross to symbolize that Haiti had nothing left but the head. "All systems are broke, the justice system, the parliament, the palace.." and only the head of power remains with no support. The eyes that surround it are there for the future, blue for observation and green for hope.
