Simplicity and continuity as suggested in the landscape fill the lives of two in Friendly Encounter. Background trees parallel the stance of the two women. The faceless woman stands proud yet relaxed in her airy light blue dress, the other looking toward the distant trees, takes a humble stand, shoulders turned in a bit, possibly from the heavier fabric she wears. Their work baggage covered in golden fabric easily rests atop their heads as they nonchalantly chat.
