These paintings are a fine example of Taino Art,
paintings that evoke the spirit of the Taino Indians through their use of the
ancient petroglyphs. They are rich in texture and color, utilizing several different
mediums. The canvas is initially prepared and painted and then pieces of burlap
are glued onto the surface. Finally, an epoxy is brushed onto the entire piece.
The canvases are not "flat", offering depth and dimension.
