Ernst Louizor

(1938 - 2011)
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Mr. Louizor has earned the reputation of being one of Haiti's foremost impressionist painters. His early schooling was at L'Ecole Smith Duplesses and Lycee Toussaint. Before joining the Centre de Art, he taught at the school des Beaux-Arts.

Louizor has trained many Haitian artists including his brother the late Fritz Louizor and his wife Guerda Louizor. He has exhibited extensively throughout Europe, the United States and Haiti.
