Our Trip to Haiti - The Villa Creole Staff

February 2000

The Front Desk

Villa Creole

Every year, prior to our trip, Rob has the delightful job of calling Nicole to make arrangements for our stay. This charming woman takes care of everything. She remembers the rooms we prefer and reserves them. She contacts our driver and puts him on notice.

Once we arrive at the Villa Creole she, along with the rest of the front desk staff, see to our needs. If we need a restaurant, they help, if we need someone who speaks french to make a call for us they are only to happy to assist.

Once again, I need to say that the level of care at the Villa Creole incredible!

Junior Bienvenue

When we arrived at the Villa Creole we were greeted by many familiar faces. Imagine our disappointment when didn't see Louisbert! Unfortunately Louisbert had suffered a bad burn and had to take some time off. He did return on our last day there so we did get to say hello.

This year Junior served us our breakfasts under the ever-glorious almond tree. We knew him from past years and enjoyed having him taking care of us. Junior quickly learned our schedule and watched for us to appear. As soon as he saw us he would set up a table for us and wave us over. He always helped get our mornings off to a good start

Louisbert

Last year Louisbert was our waiter for breakfasts and dinners. His workday starts early in the morning and ends after dinner (about 10 PM) six days a week.

While the whole staff is incredibly efficient and pleasant, Louisbert stands out. He's always joking with his fellow workers and is never without a big smile. Haitian coffee, the sun, and a smile from Louisbert...what a way to start a busy day!!
